On Canvas presents George Thorogood and the destroyers

On Canvas - PBS – Presents George Thorogood & The Destroyers

The music started in 1974 and George Thorogood & the Destroyers have been going strong since the release of their first album in 1977.

With 16 studio albums to their credit, including Platinum and Gold records, their bad-boy approach is softened by George’s candid interview, revealing quite a different side.

Originating from Wilmington, DE, the band is know for their hit “Bad to the Bone” and other blues standards such as “Move it On Over”, “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer” and the relentless cover of Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love?”.

The On Canvas Series from WHYY chronicles coming of George Thorogood and the Destroyers.  Thorogood is on a 40 years of  run of legendary rock and roll and touring throughout 2013.
